Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, or somewhere in between, having the right gear can be the difference between a good day on the slopes and a not-so-good day on the slopes. Fortunately, here at Snowshoe, we’ve got it down to a science. With high-quality ski and snowboard options for the entire family, multiple slopeside pick-up/drop-off locations, and a streamlined advanced booking process, getting the right gear is easier than ever. Let’s dive into how to get winter rental equipment during your visit to Snowshoe Mountain.
Step 1 – Reserve your rentals online, in advance, and save!
Not only does this ensure we have your equipment in stock, but it also saves you money by allowing you to take advantage of some sweet discounts. Don’t forget to add a helmet to your order!
What does Snowshoe Mountain rent in the Winter?
Ski boots, ski poles, snowboard boots, snowboards, skies, helmets, and a little bit of everything in between.
Step 2 – Pick up your skis or snowboards.
With multiple slopeside rental locations around the mountain, the best strategy for picking up your equipment is to head to the one closest to your lodging. If you’re staying in or around the Village or in the North Mountain area, head to Expedition Station Rentals, located right beside the Skidder slope. For those lodging in the South Mountain area (Top of the World, Soaring Eagle, Sanctuary, etc.) head to Top of the World Rentals, located just about 30 yards from the top of the Soaring Eagle lift. And last but not least, for those staying at Silver Creek we have a rental location on the main floor of the Silver Creek Lodge.

Step 3 – Service/Drop-Off
If at any point during your time on the slopes you have an issue with your equipment or would like to make an adjustment, you can stop in at any of our rental locations. One of our expert technicians will get you fixed up. Before you know it, you’ll be back on the snow faster than you can say “Ballhooter”. Okay, maybe not that fast but you get the idea.
And when you (or your legs) have decided you’re done for the day, you can drop them off at any one of the aforementioned slope side locations, regardless of where you picked them up originally.
Best Place to rent High-Performance Rentals and Demos
Try it before you buy it at the Mountain Adventure Center, or the “MAC” as we call it, located near the top of the Ballhooter lift. If you’re in the market for a new snowboard or set of skis, or if you just want to test out the latest equipment from brands like Head, Volkl, Salomon, and Burton, we have the perfect package for you.
