Find the Right Ski/Snowboard Lesson For You

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Adults, kids, first-timers, weekend warriors, private or group lessons….whatever category you do (or don’t) fit into, we have a lesson for you at Snowshoe Mountain. In order to help you find the right lesson, we have a couple of questions for you…

Kids ski lesson

What’s your age?

If you have little ones, they will love our Pre-Ski School Playcare. They’ll enjoy a day filled with crafts, toys, stories, on-snow playtime, and even a hands-on ski or snowboard lesson if they’re up for it. And if your kids are older, they’ll enjoy Kids World where the focus is on snow fun, confidence, and skills. Kids will be split into groups at check-in based on age and ability level.

As for the rest of you kids and kids at heart (ages 13+), our group lessons are the perfect environment to grow your confidence, broaden your skillset, and discover (or re-discover) the adventure of sliding on the snow!

What’s your experience level?

If you’re a beginner, our Intro-to-Snow Package is your best bet. It’s the perfect lesson for first-time riders and never-ever skiers. The package includes your spot in a group lesson, your rental equipment, and a limited access lift ticket for the day. The lift ticket gets you to access to Skidder Lift/Slope and Silver Creek Ski Area, which are the perfect places to learn and progress your skills.

For all you green and blue shredders looking to take your skills to the next level, check out All Mountain Clinics. These lessons are taught in a fun, fast-paced group setting and focus on progressing your abilities on more advanced terrain.

And if you’re looking for a little more special, individualized coaching, our private lessons are a great choice. Private lessons can be booked in 1 to 5-hour increments and can be for an individual or a small group of similar ability family and friends.

Is Snowshoe your home mountain?

If the answer is yes, you should check out Snowtracks. It’s a season-long program for kids ages 4-17, who are lucky enough to call Snowshoe their home mountain. Snowtracks meets every weekend from mid-December to mid-March. It’s a great way for kids to progress their skills and get specialized coaching throughout the season. The program is rooted in building relationships and trust, having fun, and achieving goals.
