Skier & Boarder Cross Bootcamp – Feb. 21

Join us for another year of the Rider Bootcamp. Leading into the USASA Boarder and Skier Cross races, and the Darn Tough Banked Slalom, get some extended time on course and instruction from Snowshoe’s Ski and Ride School. While this is a training, all participants should already have some experience and comfort on freestyle terrain including rollers and jumps.

New for Rider Bootcamp is the option for a video review session. After the morning session, you’ll board a shuttle with the coaches for lunch and additional video coaching.

USASA Boarder and Skier Cross – Feb, 22-23

Perhaps the most exciting form of racing on snow, Boarder and Skier Cross features four riders racing head to head on a track with berms, rollers, and jumps! Be on the lookout for sneaky inside passes, hot starts, and wire to wire action. Our very own Forever Wild Team has this race circled on the calendar all year long! This race is reserved for those with USASA memberships but you can still go out to cheer and spectate.

SARA Championships – Feb. 22-23

The Southern Alpine Racing Association is back on the mountain for some championship racing. This event is for racers in the U16-U21 and Master’s race categories. Racers and fans will be treated to two days of racing with a Giant Slalom on Saturday and a Slalom on Sunday. While this race is restricted to SARA members, it is still a great opportunity to go watch some of the fastest skiers in the region!

Darn Tough Banked Slalom – Mar. 1-2

After the USASA Boarder and Skier Cross events, our amazing Mountaineer Park Crew will make some changes to the USASA course for the Darn Tough Banked Slalom. Unlike the USASA event, Darn Tough Banked Slalom is a race against the clock. This race has categories for skiers, boarders, boys, girls, groms (8-15), adults, and adaptive athletes! Snowboarders drop in Saturday, Skiers take the track Sunday. Sign up for this awesome event today!

…don’t forget, there’s a party at the Boathouse after each day.
