2025/26 Winter Season Recap

Reading Time: 5 minutes

As we all know, seasons come and seasons go. The hum of the snowguns fades, the lifts stop spinning, and the mountain settles into a quiet kind of stillness. But if you’ve spent any time here, you know that stillness isn’t empty—it’s full. Full of chairlift conversations, powder days, morning to night laps, and the kind of moments that stick with you long after the snow melts away. So, if you’re already missing it, take a walk back through the moments of the 2025/26 Winter Season with us.

The chill of October rolled in, and just like that, we were back at it. Snowguns firing, crews dialing things in, that familiar buzz in the air that means winter is loading…

November gave us a chance to slow down for a second. We came together to feast and give thanks for the season ahead, and we Turkey Trotted our way into ski legs. The countdown was officially on.

Then December 5 hit. Opening Day. And not just any opening day…a POWDER DAY! The kind you dream about in the off-season. There were morning mocktails and hot chocolate in hand, high fives all around, and that shared look between strangers that says, “Yep…we’re back baby!”

The holidays came in hot, bringing that mix of reflection and friendly competition. Because sure, it’s about gratitude but it’s also about figuring out if your buddy Jones somehow logged more days than you last season and quietly vowing not to let that happen again.

New Year’s rolled over, and with it came the annual promises: more laps, longer days, first chair mornings, maybe even finally hitting that feature you’ve been eyeing in the park. And my oh my what fun we had chasing those resolutions.

February didn’t let up. It never does! The stakes got higher, the turns got sharper, and the mountain played host to some of the best—The legendary Cupp Run Challenge, return of a classic with the WV Open, and USASA Boarder/Skier Cross. Then we ended the month and began a new one in the best way possible with the Darn Tough Banked Slalom.

And in between all of it? Just good, honest shredding.

March showed up with heart. Our PRIDE celebrations reminded us that this mountain is more than just terrain—it’s a community. A place where everyone belongs exactly as they are, no questions asked, every day of the year.

Then, as spring started to tease us, we did what we always do…we went Full Send. Pond Skim delivered the looks, the wipeouts, and the party. The kind of day that sums up the season perfectly: a little wild, a lot of fun, and shared with a whole crowd of people who just get it.

Spring kept us guessing—sun one day, snow the next, a little rain just to keep things interesting. But no matter what, the stoke never left.

Because at the end of it all, that’s what this season is really about. New friends. Old friends. Stories swapped on chairlifts. Legends born on the slopes. The kind of moments that turn into traditions before you even realize it.

And now, here we are. The mountain’s quiet once again—but not for long.

If you’re anything like us, you’re already counting down the days until that first cold snap, that first plume of snowmaking in the air, that first run back. It’s never too early to start planning your next winter.

Go ahead—lock it in. The 2026/27 Winter Season Passes are on sale now.
